The History Channel® Presents “Distilleries” On Modern Marvels on August 4th at 10 pm ET/PT

The Distilled Spirits Council announces an exciting new program by The History Channel that highlights the many details that go into producing your favorite spirit. Modern Marvels: “Distilleries” airs on The History Channel on Wednesday, August 4th at 10:00 pm ET/PT. Master Distillers from America’s leading brands are interviewed to discuss the many facets of their profession. Their senses of sight and smell play significant roles in their daily distilling routines as footage will show from such distilleries as Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Laphroaig, Tormore, Glendronach, Sauza and Beefeater. Modern Marvels: “Distilleries” will also explore the business of distilling spirits from an artisan and scientific perspective. Different techniques used for making a mash; cooking the grains; and aging the final product are just a few examples of the many areas the program will examine. Through the eyes, nose and taste of top spirits experts, learn how vodka, gin, tequila, scotch, rum and bourbon are produced.
