The distillery is located three miles from the Mount Vernon estate, next door to the site of George Washington's gristmill, which has been reconstructed and operates as an 18th century mill. When the distillery opens to the public next spring, it will operate on the same schedule as the gristmill, and visitors will be able to tour both facilities.
Hours: Daily, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. -- April 1 through October 31

Once you reach Mount Vernon
The site of George Washington’s Distillery, currently under excavation, is on the grounds of George Washington’s Gristmill. The mill is located 3 miles west of Mount Vernon’s main entrance on Mount Vernon Memorial Highway (SR235).
Proceed to the traffic circle in front of the Mount Vernon Inn (stay in center lane). At the stop sign, continue straight through intersection. This road is now Route 235 South.
