Distilled Spirits Council Names Danielle Eddy New PR Director

Washington, D.C. – The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) today named Danielle Eddy as the organization’s Public Relations Director, based in New York. 

Ms. Eddy will be responsible for showcasing spirits trends, industry heritage and cocktail culture through media relations, special events, media tours and sponsorships.  She will also work with media to disseminate the latest industry data and category statistics.

Prior to joining DISCUS, Eddy held senior roles at prominent lifestyle Public Relations agencies in New York, such as Catalyst, Taylor and DeVries where she developed and implemented valuable public relations programs for a number of spirits and wine brands within the portfolios of such notable companies as Diageo, W.J. Deutsch & Sons, and E & J Gallo.

She is just the type of talented individual we were seeking to lead our spirits trends and industry heritage program,” said Distilled Spirits Council Senior Vice President Frank Coleman. “Her wealth of experience in responsibly promoting spirits and cocktail culture will be a valuable resource in taking our industry activities to the next level.”
