Distilled Spirits Council Launches www.bevretailspotlight.com

April 3, 2006 08:00 PM
-- New Website Designed For Beverage Alcohol Retailers -- WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Distilled Spirits Council (DISCUS) today announced the launch of www.bevretailspotlight.com, a new informational website for beverage alcohol retailers providing legislative, economic statistic, industry responsibility and spirits trend information. “This new website is designed to provide beverage alcohol retailers with information of interest about what's happening in the industry from recent sales trends to legislative matters,” said DISCUS President Peter Cressy. The site provides action alerts on current beverage alcohol-related legislative and regulatory issues at the state and federal levels; information on responsibility programs available to the retail tier; spirits industry trends data; and a catalogue of upcoming industry events. The site also provides a platform to access an interactive U.S. map to research current alcohol-related legislative proposals and contact information for specific state or federal legislators. “We encourage retailers to visit the site often and provide us with feedback on what information is most useful to them,” Cressy said.
