2004 'SUMMARY OF STATE LAWS AND REGULATIONS RELATED TO DISTILLED SPIRITS' RELEASED-- New 33rd Edition Highlights Market Reforms

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Distilled Spirits Council has released the 2004 edition of Summary of State Laws and Regulations Relating to Distilled Spirits, its compendium of beverage alcohol regulation in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. “The most exciting changes from the last edition are the forward strides made in modernizing the spirits marketplace,” said Peter Cressy, President of the Distilled Spirits Council. “The states have come a long way toward updating distilled spirits regulations, enhancing competition and increasing market access for spirits products.” The Summary of State Laws and Regulations Relating to Distilled Spirits is a valuable reference tool for those in the beverage alcohol industry, state officials and interested members of the public.
